WHY BUY USED

Why Buy Used Second Hand PC Parts in Singapore?

New PC parts in Singapore are expensive. A new RTX 3070 retails around $850, while a tested used one runs $360 — and the performance is identical. Buying used isn’t a compromise; it’s how experienced PC builders have always done it. Here’s why it makes sense.

40–60% Cheaper Than NewUsed GPUs, motherboards, RAM and cases sell for a fraction of retail. Same performance, much smaller bill.
Tested Before SaleEvery part is bench-tested in-house. We don’t flip untested cards — if it didn’t pass, it doesn’t hit the shelf.
Warranty IncludedIn-house warranty on all used PC parts. Fault after purchase? Bring it back to any of our 4 SG locations.
Skip the Carousell RiskNo mystery sellers, no “seller’s warranty only”, no meeting strangers at MRT stations. Walk in, inspect, pay.
Honest AdviceTell us your budget, games and resolution — we’ll recommend the part that actually fits, not the priciest one.
Build & Install ServiceDon’t want to build it yourself? We can install the part into your existing rig or assemble a complete build.

QUALITY CONTROL

How We Test Used PC Parts Before Sale

Every used GPU, CPU, motherboard, RAM kit and case goes through a structured verification process before it gets a price tag. Untested parts don’t reach our shelves — we’d rather reject stock than sell something that fails on day three.

✓ Visual InspectionPCB, capacitors, VRM, power connectors and cooling system checked for burn marks, bent pins, leaking caps or signs of prior overclocking damage.
✓ Functional Bench TestEvery motherboard is POSTed with known-good CPU and RAM. GPUs are flashed if needed and verified across HDMI and DisplayPort outputs.
✓ Stress Test Under LoadGPUs run through 3DMark and FurMark. CPUs through Cinebench and Prime95. Cards must hold rated clocks without artifacting, throttling or crashes.
✓ Memory Integrity CheckRAM kits run extended MemTest86 cycles. GPU VRAM tested with dedicated diagnostics — weak VRAM is the #1 hidden fault on used cards.
✓ Thermal VerificationFan operation, thermal pad condition and heatsink contact verified. Thermal paste replaced where needed before the part goes on sale.

BUYING GUIDE

What to Look For When Buying Used PC Parts

If you’re buying used parts elsewhere — Carousell, marketplace listings, Sim Lim — here’s what actually matters and what’s usually fine to ignore. Hardware doesn’t care that it’s second hand; it cares whether it’s been treated well.

🎮 Used GPU

Watch for: mining history, weak VRAM, stuck fans, repaired solder joints. Ask about temperatures under load.

Less important: minor cosmetic scuffs on the shroud or backplate — these don’t affect performance.

🔧 Used CPU

Watch for: bent pins (AMD AM4), missing pins, signs of being delidded, mismatched IHS markings.

Less important: dried thermal paste residue — normal and easily cleaned with isopropyl alcohol.

💾 Used Motherboard

Watch for: bent CPU socket pins, swollen or leaking capacitors, BIOS-locked boards, dead PCIe slots.

Less important: missing I/O shield — these can be replaced cheaply or sometimes 3D printed.

🖥️ Used RAM

Watch for: burn marks on PCB, bent gold contacts, mismatched kits sold as a pair, instability under XMP.

Less important: RGB issues if you don’t care about lighting — the memory itself can still be perfect.

⚡ Used PSU

Watch for: age (avoid 8+ year old units), unbranded models, missing 80+ certification, burnt smell.

Note: a cheap used PSU is the worst false economy in PC building. Don’t skimp here.

🗄️ Used Case

Watch for: dead front-panel USB headers, broken case fans, snapped tempered glass, missing screw kits.

Less important: dust — a 5-minute clean and any used case looks essentially brand new again.

COMPATIBILITY

Will the Part Fit My PC?

The most common question we get — and the easiest to get wrong if you’re upgrading an older system. Here are the quick checks before you buy.

GPU Length & PowerMeasure clearance inside your case. Most RTX 30 cards need 320 mm. Check your PSU has the right 8-pin or 12VHPWR connectors.
CPU SocketAM4 (Ryzen 1000–5000), AM5 (Ryzen 7000+), LGA1200 (Intel 10th–11th), LGA1700 (Intel 12th+). Mismatched = no boot.
RAM GenerationDDR4 and DDR5 are not interchangeable. The notch position on the stick is different — it physically won’t fit the wrong board.
PSU WattageRTX 3060 needs 550W minimum, 3070 needs 650W, 3080 needs 750W. Underpowered systems crash under load.
Case Form FactorATX, mATX, ITX. A full ATX board won’t fit a Mini-ITX case. Check motherboard size against your case spec.
BIOS VersionB450/B550 boards may need a BIOS update for newer Ryzen 5000 chips. We can flash boards in-store before you take them home.

Not sure? WhatsApp us your current build details (CPU, motherboard, PSU wattage) and we’ll confirm what’s compatible from current stock before you make the trip.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is buying used PC parts in Singapore safe?

Buying from a tested source like ours is safe. Buying from random Carousell or Telegram sellers is a gamble — there’s no warranty, no real testing, and the seller usually disappears after the trade. Every part we sell goes through a structured bench test and comes with our in-house warranty.

How do I know your stock list is current?

Stock changes daily as units sell and new ones come in. The page shows what’s typically available, but the only way to confirm something is on the shelf right now is to WhatsApp 9131 8317. We reply fast and can hold a part for you to come down and inspect.

What warranty do used PC parts come with?

All used parts — GPUs, CPUs, motherboards, RAM, cases — come with our in-house warranty. If a part develops a hardware fault within the warranty period, bring it back to any of our 4 locations and we’ll repair or replace it. Specific warranty length depends on the part; ask us for the exact terms before purchase.

Can I test the part in-store before buying?

Yes. Every part has already been tested by us, but you’re welcome to verify it in-store. We can POST motherboards with a known-good CPU, run benchmarks on GPUs, and demonstrate that RAM trains correctly. Walk in to any of our 4 SG locations — no appointment needed.

Are used GPUs from mining still safe to buy?

Mostly yes, with caveats. A well-maintained mining card running at undervolted settings often has less wear than a gaming card pushed hard daily. The risk is heat-stressed VRAM and worn-out fan bearings — both things we specifically test for. We’re upfront about a card’s history if known, and reject any unit that fails our checks regardless of where it came from.

Do you sell used PSUs?

We’re very selective about used PSUs. A failing PSU can take out your entire build, so we only stock branded units (Corsair, Seasonic, be quiet!, Cooler Master) under 5 years old that pass full load testing. If used PSU stock is low, we’ll usually recommend buying new — it’s the one component where we tell people not to save the wrong $30.

Can I trade in my old PC parts?

Yes. WhatsApp us the model and condition of what you have and we’ll send a trade-in quote. We accept GPUs, CPUs, motherboards, RAM, complete builds and even faulty units (priced accordingly). You can use trade-in value against any used or new part we stock.

Will the part work with my current build?

WhatsApp us your current setup — CPU, motherboard model, RAM, PSU wattage, case — and we’ll confirm compatibility before you come down. Most upgrade questions come down to socket type, RAM generation (DDR4 vs DDR5), PSU wattage and physical clearance. We’ll flag any issue before you spend.

Can you install the part for me?

Yes. Bring your PC down and we’ll install the new part, do a clean cable job, reapply thermal paste if relevant, and stress-test the system before you take it home. There’s a small installation fee that includes labour and testing — ask us for the rate when you visit.

Do you offer delivery?

Walk-in collection is the default — it’s free and lets you inspect the part. We can arrange Lalamove or Grab delivery at the buyer’s cost if you prefer. WhatsApp us to arrange.

Don’t See What You Need?

Stock changes daily. WhatsApp us the exact part you need and we’ll let you know when one comes in.
