Signs You Need a RAM Upgrade
When RAM is full your laptop uses the SSD as overflow memory — everything grinds to a halt.
Chrome and Edge are RAM-heavy. 10 open tabs can consume 4–6GB alone.
Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc → Performance. Consistently high memory = RAM bottleneck.
Zoom and Teams are memory-hungry, especially with screen sharing active.
4GB is inadequate for Windows 11. 16GB is the comfortable everyday minimum.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will more RAM make my laptop faster?
Yes — if RAM is your bottleneck. Check Task Manager → Performance. If memory sits above 80% during normal use, adding RAM makes a noticeable difference. If disk shows 100% instead, an SSD upgrade may be more impactful.
How much RAM do I need in 2025?
8GB is the practical minimum for Windows 11. 16GB is recommended for comfortable everyday use. 32GB for video editing, coding, or heavy multitasking.
Can I upgrade RAM on a MacBook?
Not on Apple Silicon models (M1, M2, M3, M4). RAM is integrated into the chip. On older Intel MacBooks (pre-2019), some have upgradeable RAM — bring it in and we’ll check for free.
Should I upgrade RAM or SSD first?
If you have a spinning HDD, upgrade to SSD first — the impact is more dramatic. If you already have an SSD but multitasking is still slow, add RAM next.
How long does a RAM upgrade take?
Most upgrades are done in 30–60 minutes. Walk in, get a free diagnosis, approve the quote, and collect same day.
How much does a RAM upgrade cost in Singapore?
From $60 for 4→8GB, $80 for 8→16GB, and $150 for 16→32GB. Call 9750 4333 for an exact quote.
Will my data be safe?
Yes — completely. RAM installation does not touch your data at all. Your files, settings, and software stay exactly as they are.
