SolidWorks PC Build Singapore
Custom-built SolidWorks workstations with certified GPU drivers, fast CPU, and 32 GB RAM. The only major CAD software that strictly requires a certified workstation GPU. Starting from $600.
SolidWorks Is the Exception — It Needs a Certified GPU
Unlike AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Blender — which all work fine with consumer RTX cards — SolidWorks uses RealView graphics which requires a GPU with certified professional drivers (NVIDIA Quadro or AMD Radeon Pro). Without certified drivers, RealView is greyed out and some visual quality features are unavailable.
ⓘ However — many SolidWorks users run consumer GPUs by spoofing the driver. This unlocks RealView but is unsupported by Dassault. WhatsApp us to discuss your specific workflow and we’ll advise the right approach.
Single-core speed matters most. SolidWorks rebuilds, mates, and simulations are single-threaded. 4+ GHz boost clock recommended.
Certified GPU for full RealView support. Consumer RTX works for most modelling but lacks certified driver support.
16 GB minimum; 32 GB for large assemblies with many parts, simulations, or rendering.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does SolidWorks require a certified GPU?
SolidWorks officially requires a certified workstation GPU (NVIDIA Quadro or AMD Radeon Pro) to enable RealView graphics. However, many users run SolidWorks on consumer RTX cards successfully for standard modelling workflows — RealView and some visual quality features will be unavailable without certified drivers. WhatsApp us to discuss your specific workflow.
What is RealView Graphics in SolidWorks?
RealView is SolidWorks’ hardware-accelerated display mode that renders parts with realistic materials, reflections, and shadows in real-time without needing to render. It requires a certified GPU. Without it, parts still display correctly in standard shaded mode — just without photorealistic viewport materials.
How much RAM do I need for SolidWorks?
16 GB handles most standard part and assembly work. For large assemblies with hundreds of parts, simulations (FEA, CFD), or running PhotoView 360 rendering, 32 GB is recommended. Our builds can be configured with 32 GB on request.
Can the same PC run SolidWorks and AutoCAD?
Yes — both install and run on the same system. AutoCAD works fine with consumer GPUs. If you need full SolidWorks RealView support, you’ll need a certified GPU, which also works perfectly for AutoCAD.
How long does a build take?
Most builds are completed within 3–5 working days. WhatsApp us to confirm stock and get a realistic timeline.
