Will my Windows licence still work after cloning?
Yes. Your Windows licence is tied to your hardware, not the drive. Cloning preserves your existing activation — nothing changes on the licensing side.
Can you clone HDD to SSD?
Yes — this is one of the most common jobs we do. Cloning from a spinning HDD to an SSD gives you the same speed improvement as a fresh install, without the reinstall hassle. Works for both laptops and desktops.
Can you clone SATA SSD to NVMe?

What if the new drive is smaller than the old one?
The new drive must have enough capacity to hold all used data — not match the total size. If your old 1TB drive has 350GB of data, a 500GB new drive works fine. We check this during diagnosis.
How long does cloning take?
30–90 minutes for most devices depending on data volume. We’ll give you a time estimate after the initial diagnosis. Most customers collect same day.
Do you clone desktop PC drives as well as laptops?
Yes — we clone drives for desktop PCs, all-in-ones, and laptops. Bring the full device in or just the drive if it’s a desktop.
Can I use my old drive as external storage afterwards?
Yes — a USB 3.0 external enclosure (from $15–25) lets you plug your old drive in via USB and use it as portable storage. We can advise on compatible enclosures during your visit.
